We met in the lobby of our college dorm for our very first Black Student Union meeting. One corny DM later, and we’ve been talking ever since.

From the beginning, our bond has been built on creativity and curiosity; drawing, painting, songwriting, dance, photography, fashion, and sculpture...we’ve always chased the things that make us feel alive. Over the years, those creative outlets became our language, and now, through Soul Scribbles Studios, we’re turning that language into spaces, stories, and experiences that remind people of one thing: everyone is an artist. Together, we’re exploring how creativity can rebuild connection — to ourselves, to each other, and to the world around us.

Curious by nature (literally). As a kid, I spent recess observing plants and animals, writing notes instead of running around like a "normal kid." That fascination with living beings led me to become a veterinarian. However, after years in medicine, I realized something was missing. I had learned to heal bodies, but through the rigorous training, I neglected my own creative spirit. I made a hard pivot; reduced the amount of time spent to being an animal doctor and increased the time spent for creative play. I started re-exploring all of the mediums I enjoyed in the past but still threw some newer ones into the mix. Making space allowed me to be more open to how my artistic self wants to show up and more welcoming to inspiration whenever and however it strikes... AND then acting on it.

Creative expression is another form of healing. Currently through sculpture, scent/fragrance, and storytelling, I’m rediscovering that wild curiosity and wanting to help others reconnect to theirs through Soul Scribbles Studios. Art is how we make sense of being human.

I was the kid deeply into anime, video games, and storytelling...but also the kid chasing excellence on the field. In high school, I pushed myself to transform both mentally and physically, training relentlessly until I became a Division I football athlete. That process of self-actualization, of seeing what’s possible when you commit to becoming your fullest self, became a core part of who I am.

At the same time, creativity and community was always in the mix; I wrote poetry/spoken word and rap and I had a knack for bringing people together. What started as throwing parties with friends evolved into something bigger — building communities where people could belong.

That drive led to Anime Anonymous on Clubhouse, one of the first large-scale POC-led anime and manga communities online, and later to ShoeBox on Twitch, a creative digital space centered on connection and expression. From there, I moved into large-scale marketing by translating years of community-building and cultural insight into strategy and storytelling that resonate on a global level.

Now, I’m channeling that same energy into Soul Scribbles Studios by continuing the work of building spaces where authenticity, creativity, and connection meet. My path has always been about evolution of self, of community, and of what creativity can look like when everyone has a seat at the table.
